The Eldridge is Lawrence's most luxurious hotel. Located in the heart of the exciting downtown area, the hotel is surrounded by an abundance of unique shops, galleries and dining and entertainment venues. Built in 1926, the hotel is a member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America and is the latest of four hotels to occupy the site dating back to 1856. The 48 room, all suite property reopened in May of 2005 after undergoing a total restoration. The hotel features a full service restaurant and lounge, exquisite banquet space, room service and valet parking. Occupying the "most historic corner in Kansas", The Eldridge is truly the place where history and hospitality converge.

Directions

From Kansas City International Airport:

-From Kansas City International Airport (MCI)- Follow signs to St. Joseph and Topeka (I-29 North). Take Exit 17 to I-435 South. Continue on I-435 South for 18-miles. Take Exit 12 on the right following the signs towards I-70 and Topeka. Continue west on I-70 for 21-miles. Take the first Lawrence Exit number 204. Take a left on North 3rd Street. Follow North 3rd Street for 3-miles (you will cross the Kansas River bridge). After crossing the bridge continue south through the Intersection of 6th and Vermont. Take a left on 7th Street, we are on the right.

From Lawrence Municipal Airport:

-From Lawrence Municipal Airport (LWC)- Turn right on Highway 24. Turn left on Highway 59. Keep going south on 59 for 3-miles until you cross the Kansas River Bridge. After the bridge you will be at the intersection of 6th and Vermont. Keep going straight through the intersection, turn left on 7th street, we are on the left.

From I-70:

-From I-70- Exit off of 204, left on North 3rd. Continue south for 3-miles. Cross Kansas River Bridge. Left on 7th Street, we are on the right.

K-10:

-From K-10- Follow K-10 into town, turns into 23rd. Right on Massachusetts. Follow until you reach 7th Street. Hotel is on the corner of 7th and Massachusetts.
